Newsletter Automation
Build the pipeline that produces the Lab's monthly AI newsletter — automated collection, editorial workflow, Substack distribution.
Newsletter Automation is the build side of the Lab’s monthly AI Updates newsletter. The newsletter has been publishing since February 2025; the project here is the pipeline that produces it — automated collection of candidate items through the month, an editorial workflow that surfaces what’s worth including, and Substack as the distribution layer.
The point is to get the editorial pass focused on selecting and writing, not hunting for material.
What we’re doing
- Run the collection pipeline: scrape, watch, and tag candidate items across the month from a curated source list — model releases, court incidents, regulatory developments, classroom experiments, tool reviews.
- Build the editorial workflow: triage interface, drafting templates, fact-check pass, ready-to-publish hand-off.
- Stand up the Substack and migrate the back catalog. Archive on this site stays as the canonical record.
Why this matters
The newsletter is the Lab’s most public, regular touch point with the legal-education community. Automating the collection and editorial scaffolding means the writing gets the attention it deserves and the cadence stays reliable — both of which matter more than any individual issue.
Status
Active. Newsletter is publishing monthly; Substack migration in progress; collection pipeline being formalized.
